Practical information
The board above shows today's flights. Switch between "Departures" and "Arrivals" using the tabs, and pick another date or time range if your flight is not listed. Times are Morocco local time (GMT+1). A flight stays listed for a while after take-off or landing, so you can check afterwards that it actually left.
- IATA code: BEM — ICAO code: GMMD.
- Recommended check-in: 2 hours before a domestic flight, 3 hours before an international one.
- Times shown: Morocco local time (GMT+1).
- Board refreshed continuously: today's departures and arrivals.
Before you fly: check-in, baggage and security
Online check-in usually opens 24 to 48 hours before departure depending on the airline, and it is the simplest way to avoid the counter queue. If you are checking a bag, bag drop normally closes 45 to 60 minutes before take-off on an international flight, and 30 to 45 minutes on a domestic one: after that, the airline may refuse the bag even if you are standing there.
At security, cabin liquids are still limited to containers of 100 ml or less, together in a one-litre transparent bag. Take laptops and tablets out of your bag, and remove belts and metal items to move through faster. Then comes border police for international flights: this is the least predictable queue at Moroccan airports, especially at weekends and during European school holidays.
The boarding gate generally closes 15 to 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Do not rely only on the time printed on your boarding pass: the live status, on the board above and on the airport screens, is what counts.
On arrival: controls, baggage and exit
Off the aircraft, the first stop is border police. Have your passport ready and, if the officer asks, the address of your accommodation and your return ticket. The entry stamp allows most European visitors to stay 90 days.
Then come baggage reclaim and customs. You may bring your personal effects into Morocco; above 100,000 dirhams in foreign currency, a declaration is required. Note too that the Moroccan dirham cannot be freely taken out of the country: change what you have left before you fly home.
In the arrivals hall you will find exchange counters, cash machines and mobile operator shops for a local SIM card. Airport exchange rates are rarely the best: change only what you need to reach the city, and top up in town. Finally, always agree the fare with a taxi before getting in, or insist on the meter.

This list shifts with the seasons: low-cost carriers open and close routes from one season to the next, and charter flights appear mainly in summer. The board at the top of this page remains the only up-to-date source for the flights actually scheduled today.

On time: the flight matches its schedule. Delayed: a new estimated time is shown. Boarding: go to the gate now. Last call: the gate is about to close. Cancelled: contact your airline to be rebooked. Landed: the aircraft is on the ground.
Yes. Times, delays and gate changes are refreshed continuously from live flight data. Still keep an eye on the airport screens and on your airline's notifications: in case of a last-minute change, those take precedence.
Contact your airline first, through its app or at the desk: rebooking is handled by the carrier. For a flight departing the European Union, or operated by an EU airline leaving Morocco, Regulation (EC) 261/2004 may entitle you to care and in some cases compensation. Keep your boarding passes and any written confirmation of the delay.
