Mohammed V Airport: Morocco's main gateway

Morocco's busiest airport and the hub of Royal Air Maroc, Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN / GMMN) lies in Nouaceur, about 30 km south-east of Casablanca. It is the country's main intercontinental gateway, connecting Morocco to Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.

  • The only Moroccan airport with a direct train to the city
  • Royal Air Maroc hub and gateway to West Africa
  • Two modern terminals, with a third planned by 2029

Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and its beating economic heart. Behind the white Art-déco façades of the city centre rises the majestic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest religious buildings in the world, dramatically set on the Atlantic shore. From business towers to the lively Ain Diab corniche, Casablanca blends modernity with a distinctly Moroccan soul.

As the country's main air gateway, Mohammed V Airport welcomes millions of travellers each year — tourists heading on to Marrakech or Fès, business travellers, and a large Moroccan diaspora. Its strategic location makes it the natural first stop for discovering the kingdom.

The train: Casablanca's key advantage

Unique in Morocco, Mohammed V Airport has its own railway station, located on level -1 in the arrivals area. ONCF trains run directly to Casa-Voyageurs and Casa-Port in about 45 minutes, and also serve Rabat — the most reliable way to reach the city at peak times, avoiding motorway traffic.

For onward travel, Casablanca is the crossroads of Morocco's rail network: from Casa-Voyageurs, the Al Boraq high-speed line reaches Rabat and Tangier in record time, while conventional trains link Marrakech, Fès and beyond. Landing in Casablanca truly means arriving at the centre of the country.
